This alligator was between 8-10 feet and had

10 babies in the pond just a few yards away. This

pond was right across the street from the house

we were staying in.

The stick on the left side of the picture

was attached to a rather brave/stupid man

trying to get the alligator to come ashore.

When she began hissing at all of us we went

across the street. We still wanted to see the action

if she did come out of the water and eat the man

poking around her with the stick.

The local security kept an eye on those who wanted

to get a look at this momma and her babies. She apparently

didn't like all the attention and was becoming aggressive. If you

were caught around this pond you were asked to leave.
